Then one day, I stopped forcing it.

That’s when I realized: meditation isn’t about stillness. It’s about presence. And sometimes, presence happens in motion.

For years, I thought meditation had to look a certain way—cross-legged, eyes closed, still and silent. But every time I tried, my mind felt like a crowded freeway, bumper-to-bumper with random thoughts, to-do lists, and, for some reason, song lyrics I hadn’t heard in years.
Then one day, I stopped trying to force stillness.
I let my breath move me. I let my body sway. I flowed. And in that movement, I found what I had been chasing—presence, clarity, peace.
That’s when I realized—meditation isn’t about stillness. It’s about presence. And for some of us, presence happens in motion.
